European Association of Communication Agencies (EACA)

EACA is the voice of Europe’s communications agencies and associations, promoting the economic and social contribution of commercial communications to society. Our members comprise advertising, media, digital, branding and PR agencies as well as their national associations – together they represent more than 2,500 organisations from nearly 30 European countries that directly employ over 120,000 people. Brand Safety and more largely Digital Risk is a major topic for agencies since several years. Indeed, agencies bear an important responsibility when it comes to ensuring their client’s reputation and thus enable advertising to be displayed in suitable and safe spaces. EACA is a member of GARM since 2019 and EACA members regularly intervene within the GARM working groups and commit to comply with the Brand Safety and Suitability Framework. Besides, EACA launched a specific Task Force on media quality in 2021 with the objective to drive real change in the media eco-system by setting the industry agenda on priority issues such as combatting the funding of dis- and misinformation and issues guidance to its members on how to practically face these challenges.
